Jim just noticed that his promo CD single contains both an "Edit" and "Album Version" with listed times of 3:30. The album version runs an actual 3:29, and the Edit runs 3:30.
The main difference, though, is that the Edit removes the spoken vocals from the mix between 2:02 and 2:20. Is the "Edit" what also appears on the commercial single? Do any of the database CDs have the non-spoken part at 2:02?

i just listened to my commercial cassingle issued as giant 19236 for the color me badd song "all 4 love" which, by the way, states the version as "album version" and it DOES contain the spoken words from 2:02 to 2:20...hope this helps

None of the cd's in the database contain the "edit" version. Now where does the (3:14) edit found on JCI 3132 "Only Rock 'n Roll 1990-1994" come from?

Pat, MTV Party To Go Vol 2 has that edit and nothing is mixed into or out of it being that it's a continuous mixed disc. It's labeled LP Version on the disc, but doesn't match what Aaron says. It ends cold with the All 4 Love acapella.

Yes it is the same edit as found on the JCI disc but where did it originate?

There were a number of special versions on the MTV Party To Go discs, most likely created by the disc's producer/mixer to allow for a continuous mix or tight transition between tracks. Did the JCI disc perhaps use the Party To Go disc as the source?
