my commercial 45 for the jimmy dorsey song "so rare" issued
as fraternity 755 states the run time as 2:30 but actually
runs 2:32.....the cdr version i have starts off with him
saying "take 7" which isn't on the 45....pat, how may of
the cd version in the db have the "take 7" introduction on
them....they should probably be labeled "neither" or
"includes intro"......

If I'm interpreting my research correctly, "So Rare" made its vinyl LP debut in 1958 on The Fabulous Jimmy Dorsey album released by Fraternity Records. I'm wondering if the "Take 7" intro you speak of, Ed, could have been on the LP which would therefore qualify as an LP version?

Ed, there are no cd's in the database with a countoff with the exception of the Varese cd "The Fabulous Jimmy Dorsey" which has a lot of studio talk and a "take 1" preceding the song.
