Thanks to some assistance from Edtop40, the commercial cassette single release of Def Leppard's "Miss You in a Heartbeat" contains the following track listing and run times, which both appear on Side 1:
1) Band Acoustic Version - 4:04 (same as printed time)
2) Acoustic Acoustic Version - 4:07 (same as printed time)
I remember hearing the "Band Acoustic Version" played on my local Top 40 station and would probably consider this to be the "official" single version. However, both versions were also issued on the promo CD single release and therefore it's very possible the "Acoustic Acoustic Version", my personal favorite version of "Miss You in a Heartbeat" which primarily consists of only a piano and Joe Elliot's lead vocals, may have gotten some airplay as well (perhaps on Adult Contemporary radio?).
On a related note, there are actually three versions of "Miss You in a Heartbeat" that appear on my copy of Def Leppard's Retroactive CD (Mercury 314518305):
1) The "Acoustic Version", which is Track 6 and runs 4:04.
2) The "Electric Version", which is Track 12 and runs 4:56. The previous track on the CD segues into the intro and the fadeout tracks into the next selection.
3) The "Acoustic Acoustic Version", which is a hidden track at the end of the CD and is not listed anywhere on the disc, booklet, or back tray insert. It is indexed as part of Track 13, which starts off with "Two Steps Behind (Electric Version)" (run time: 4:30), followed by :21 of silence, and then followed by the "Miss You in a Heartbeat (Acoustic Acoustic Version)" (4:07). Thus, the total run time of Track 13 on the Def Leppard Retroactive CD is 8:58.
