The database currently notes that DJ copies run 3:15, but it does not mention the fact that some DJ copies run 4:44 like the commercial 45. The 3:15 promo 45 specifically says "DJ Reservice."

For those who want to make the 4:44 commercial single edit from the 5:38 LP version, it's just an early fade. Start the fade at 4:35 and fade to zero by 4:44.
You'll then notice that the song's actual title is "For The Love Of You (Parts 1&2)," and you'll take a brief moment to wonder what happened to Part 2 (you'll think, "I mean, did I now cut it off, thus making the title technically incorrect?"), but that feeling will pass quickly because no one knows why there are two parts in the title, really. Personally I think there are approximately 158 parts, but they could only list two in the title due to arcane ASCAP rules or something.

Listing Parts 1 & 2 just seems to be what The Isley
Brothers did. Perhaps it means that the main
verse/chorus part is the first part, and the extended ad-
lib or instrumental part is the second.

the dj edit as aaron states above lists a run time of 3:15
and does indeed run that length.....if you fade the 5:36
length version from 3:07 to 3:15 you can effectively re-
create the 3:15 dj edit....
