In the database, the only listings for "Theme Song From 'Which
Way Is Up?'" are those with times like the 45 version. The original LP
Stargard (MCA 2321) has a version that is 7:01, although the
label has the time at 7:08. The 45 (MCA 40825) times out to 3:06,
although the label has the time at 3:10. The 45 is different than the
LP version; it's edited, and the group says "Ain't it funky now" twice
before the first instrumental break. I don't know if any of the CDs
listed has the 45 version, as I don't own any of them.

The original 45 edit of "Which Way Is Up" was released on the "Disco 54:Funkin' On The Floor" compilation on Hip-O Records in 1998. It was mastered by Tom Moulton and sounds fantastic! It's now out of print, but look around. It shouldn't be too hard to find. I picked one up on eBay about a year ago.
