There are wide running time variances in the database for this song, ranging anywhere from 2:29 to 2:37, an eight-second difference. Can anyone tell me the correct running time of the original mono single? (There was a stereo single issued at the time as well.)

Laurie 3027 remained in print for many years, so there could be differences in the timings depending on who did the mastering and pressing. Columbia, Monarch and Shelley Products seemed to press most of the Laurie 45s circa 1959, typically on styrene.
I bought my vinyl RCA-mastered-and-pressed 45 new in 1972; both the actual and stated times are 2:36. The tail end of the fade dumps abruptly.

2:36 matches up with a 45 that is on YouTube.
