billboard in early 1969, my commercial 45 for the marvin
gaye & tammi terrell song 'good lovin' ain't easy to come
by' issued as tamla 54179 lists the run time on the label
as 2:26 but runs 2:25.....the cd 'master' contains a
shorter running version (2:17).....does anyone know if the
mono 2:25 version is available on cd anywhere?

Ed, it is on Complete Motown Singles, Vol. 9: 1969. It is mono, and runs
(2:23). I will shoot it out to you. Please compare it to your (2:25) 45 version,
and let us know where the :02 difference is.

thanks, jim for the file.....upon further review, the vinyl
45 runs more like 2:24 than 2:25...so the 2:23 cd version
jim sent me matches good enough...you'll have to slow the
cd version do a hair to match the speed of the vinyl
45.....thank you very much, jim, for providing the
file.....
