Can anyone tell me how to edit the album versions to get the single edits (or in 2 cases, the dj single edits) of these songs:
Skylark - Wildflower (dj sv)
Morris Albert - Morris Albert (dj sv)
Ferrante & Teicher - Midnight Cowboy
Cymarron - Rings (or is this just a pitch difference, not an edit?)
Or if anyone can send the actual 45 edit, that would be fine, too. (I can use my CD sources for these and edit them.) Even if editing the album version down doesn't get the true single version (because of mix differences), I'd still like to create versions that are the same length and same structure as the single (or dj) versions. Thanks.

Gordon,
The 45 versions of "Rings" and "Midnight Cowboy" are not
edits of the LP versions, they are dedicated mono mixes
that you can't create with the LP versions.
Most of Midnight Cowboy sounds very similar in the mono
mix, but the 45 has an intro that is nowhere on the LP
which fades in.
"Rings" the LP version uses a different vocal take, and a
different mix, and is also sped up wildly from the 45's
original pitch.

Gordon, I recreated both the DJ 45 version of "Wildflower"
and DJ 45 version of "Feelings." I will send mp3 files via
email for your observation.

Thanks! I made my own guess for "wildflower" today, but I'm sure it's wrong, and I'll be interested to see where the real edits are :)
