Here is the DJ promo. An edit of the commercial 45 I take it?

Yeah, that one's lovely. One of the few DJ 45s I have that I never listen to. Never heard it on the air in '69, either. Even if they could've fixed the increasing tempo problem, that edit is a double-whammy: a sudden influx of other instrumentation and one of the hastiest exits ever.

Another DJ 45 edit where the tempo increase ultimately taints the edit points: the Bells' "Fly Little White Dove Fly" from 1970-'71. Polydor would've been better off just fading it early.

The Youtube version seems to be the same one on Dick Bartley's Collector's Essentials "On The Radio" Volume One. The latter is in stereo.

Pretty much everyone around here used the short
version...other than the handful of times I
"accidentally" played the wrong side I don't think I ever
heard the long version on the air during its chart run.

Is there a difference between the edit on the Bartley CD
and the promo? I never noticed one, though he didn't
always get the edits right on other short versions he re-
created.

We only played the long version on KRIZ-AM/Phoenix.

If you listen to the mono single (either 1967 or 1969), such as from AnotherProf on YouTube, there's no muttering or gibberish in the background as in the stereo version of this song.

Hi Larry Dean

Any idea where I could find any Drake era jingles from KRUX
or KTKT or Keno - all Lotus owned circa 1971-1975
