I just obtained a promo CD single for M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes," and it contains the following:
1. Album Version (listed 3:24; actual 3:22)
2. Radio Edit (listed 3:24; actual 3:22)
The main difference between the two versions is that the "Radio Edit" removes the gunshot sound effects on the chorus. Instead, there is a cartoon-like door slamming sound effect in its place. It's my understanding that this version was not released anywhere else. I also recall seeing an interview with MIA, and she said she didn't approve of the record company removing the gunshot sound effects for the US radio promo.
