I'm talking about the original studio version from 1975, not the live version from 1977.

How long was the single version? Was there a DJ promo edit?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Tim

Tim, my 1974 MCA 40328 commercial 45 and the mono and stereo sides of my DJ 45 are all listed at (4:41).

About half of the CDs in Pat's db are listed as having the "45 version" and all run 4:40 or 4:41.

I was wondering if the intro was edited (or of there were any other edits). I seem to remember hearing the intro not being so long.

The intro starts very abruptly on the 45. Had it not been edited, the 45 would've only consisted of the intro. :)

And yes, there are other edits, beginning with the shortened-up intro that follows the abrupt start.

I have a 3:30 "album edit" that has the 1:11 complete ending but is heavily edited and faded.:)
