If you believe Discogs, it appears the original release of this #44 Billboard pop hit from 1982 was first released in its LP version (3:33) on both a 12" commercial single and an identical 12" promo single.
It was then released, apparently still in 1982, in a remixed form on a 7" commercial single and a 7" promo single (3:39; remixed by Ed Thacker).
Would we then consider the "hit" version of this song in the U.S. to be the remix?
I have numerous copies of the 3:33 version on multiple compilations; the 3:39 mix turns up on "Just Can't Get Enough - New Wave Hits Of The 80s Vol. 9."
