my commercial 45 for the june valli song 'apple green'
issued as mercury 71588 lists the run time on the label as
2:20 and runs 2:21...the lone db entry listed below

1960 - APPLE GREEN
(M)     (2:17)   &nb sp; Collectors'Choice Music 1048 I Could Go
On Singing

is a different version than what's on the vinyl
45......pat, this may require further qualification on
your end.....thanks jim for providing the raw data/files
for my review.....THANKS!!

I have this song on the import cd from Ace entitled, "The Golden Age Of American Popular Music - Volume 2". I can't tell if it's the rerecorded version or the original, as I'm unsure of the exact differences. The version on this cd runs 2:21 and is mono.

I can't find a reliable on-line video (or audio) with the original version. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

found the correct 45 version on amazon as listed on the
album 'hard to find music, vol 1' and it runs 2:20....

To edtop40:

I'm not sure if Pat counts those "gray area" download only labels e.g. 'Carol Records', 'Classic Records' as a legitimate US CD release.

Pat, could you chime in with your response?

Thanks,

Andy
