the db only lists the full length album version running
5:36....does anyone have the details of what's on the
commercial cd single issued as warner 42845?

It has six cuts as follows:
1 Radio Version 3:20 listed; 3:23 actual
2 SDP Extended Vocal 7:57 listed; 7:56 actual
3 Tracy Young's Get Up And Dance Groove Edit 4:15 listed; 4:13 actual
4 Bill Hamel Remix 6:58 listed; 6:57 actual

Not with the rest of the CDs, no, but he usually indicates the run time of the
commercial "45 version" from a stock CD single, right?

I thought you meant the the CD single should be added to the database. Looks like he has added a note about it now.
But, really, the actual "single," the digital-era incarnation of the "true 45 version," is the one-track download single, which is that Radio Version.

I have that CD single, Tom, and on mine the Radio Version only runs 3:21 timed from the first tick to the end of the music. It's identical to my old 128kb (copy guarded!) iTunes download of the original single, downloaded on 10/18/05. (Which for some reason was called Radio Edit, not Radio Version, by the way.)

Just a note for fans of extended versions. The SPD extended vocal mix on the CD single, which is just an extended version of the original mix, actually leaves out the entire "I can't keep on waiting for you" part. So the only complete "long version" of the song is the album version.
