I have more questions than answers for this one.
(1) Is the 12" version on Rhino's Phat Trax Vol. 4 (1994) from vinyl? I think I hear a little surface noise and turntable rumble on the fade, but I need a second opinion. I think I hear evidence of noise reduction on Priority's Mega-Hits Dance Classics Vol. 6 (1989), which shows some "pumping" on the fade - also taken from vinyl?
(2) Should the LP/45 designations be "LP length" and "45 length"? I don't hear any difference between the LP version on Hip-O's 2-CD Best Disco In Town Vol. 2 (3:58) and the 45 versions on the many Rhino discs (3:30), except for length.

Ron, I can only help with Priority's Mega Hits Dance Vol.
6.
Definitely not from vinyl, and I'm sure the weird "fluffy"
sound on the end of the fade is just on the tape that way.
I've heard that before. They didn't fade the tape either,
it just runs to the end of wav, you can hear it if you
crank it up.
The CD is also from 1989 and pre-dates noise reduction as
we know it.
There was Sonic Solutions and CEDAR, but at that time they
were very expensive, from what I was told.
