This one stalled at #56 in early 1994 but it was such a big spin here in Providence. Does anyone have a promo CD and could
post the particulars?

The promo CD I know of for "I'll Be Loving You" is one that had multiple artists and songs. It's called the Metropolitan Radio Sampler and contains the following:
1. Collage - I'll Be Loving You (Pop)
2. Collage - I'll Be Loving You (Original)
3. Collage - Te Amare
4. Denine - I Remember You
5. Da-"A" Clan - One Way Love '94
6. Format - Whenever I Call Your Name
7. Format - Anything To Make You Love Me
8. Undertakers - Buck Buck
There are no listed times for any of the tracks, but cuts 1 & 2 run 3:47 and 4:20 respectively.

The sound on this song has always bugged me a little, it could sound a lot better.
In 1993 it was released only as a 12'' and a cassette.
The cassette has a version called Power Radio Mix, a Club mix and To The Point Radio and Bonus Beats.
The 12'' contained a Power 96 Radio but otherwise had everything the cassette had but the Power Radio Mix.
Then there is a 1994 CD maxi-single which leads off with 4 Diana mixes and 3 versions of I'll Be Loving You, the techno mix, spanish mix and Original Radio Mix.
Now with Aaron telling us the sampler has a Pop version that is a LOT of versions for one song.
Does anyone remember what the actual hit version is? I never heard anything on the 12 inch before. Considering the song had its peak airplay wise in 1994, is the 1994 promo with the original radio version the correct hit? Is the LP version different?
Someone help....:(

This was a staple on WKTU in NY in 1996-1998. On constant rotation.

Rich it was a toss up between the pop and original
versions from Aaron's promo CD sampler. The CHR stations
(WPRO, WWKX and WFHN) played the track as a current and
recurrent. The 3:47 pop version is the definitive hit
version, at least around here.
Another tidbit - Adam Marano produced the track, but
Anthony Monteleone is the vocalist. Marano has
rerecorded the track with his own vocal on Collage And
Friends • The Greatest Hits. Hope this helps!

We play the Pop mix on WNBH/New Bedford (BIG 101.3). Our rip came
from the Tommy Boy compilation Freestyle Greatest Beats: The
Complete Collection - Volume 10.
