For the song "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)" by En Vogue, the database currently states "commercial copies of this cd single run (4:41)". I am having a hard time finding any additional evidence that a US commercial CD-single exists. The only other hint I can find is a wikipedia listing of a three-track US CD-single, but this appears to be one of the promo CD-singles Jim told us about in the 'En Vogue - singles from "Funky Divas"' thread.

The Hot 100 indicates four single formats in which this song was commercially released in the US: cassette single, 7-inch vinyl single, cassette maxi-single, and 12-inch maxi-single.

The cassette single (EastWest 4-98586) does not indicate a version, but it is identical to the LP Version. This is the only version on the cassette single. I timed the cassette single at (4:40). Joel Whitburn's Pop Annual 1955-1999 gives the run time as (4:32), but as has been discussed previously on this board, many run times from this era are short by several seconds in this book.

The 7-inch single has, except for the prefix, the same label number (7-98586), but unlike the cassette single, it features two versions of the song. The 7-inch single does not have a designated A-side or B-side. One side is described as "LP Version" and gives the run time as (3:35), which is obviously incorrect. It is indeed the LP Version, but I timed it at (4:40). The other side is described as "Radio Active" and gives the run time as (3:51). I timed it at (4:42).

I’ve never seen a CD single, either, and I’m guessing the comment in
the database is a typo. Pat probably meant cassette single.
