OK, I think I got gipped. I went to buymusic.com to download what I thought was the single version of "Dirty White Boy" running (3:11). Turns out it's the LP version running (3:40).
It's funny--according to Pat's database the Records CD has the 45 version, but at every downloadable source I've visited they sell the version off of Records as the LP version.
Anyway, instead of complaining to them for mere pennies, anybody know where the edit(s) in "Dirty White Boy" is/are?

I thought the 45 version IS the LP version. I'll have to check...

45 is indeed an edit - I believe it edits out one 3 second bar between :14 and :18 (why???) and fades earlier than the LP. I've too found that sometimes the downloadable version is not what they advertise. Usually is, but not always. They'll give you a credit if you complain (yah, I know, 99 cents isn't much...)

Thanks, David. You're right--seems weird to make a 3-4 second edit and then fade early to create a 45 (of course, we've seen two-second edits before). As far as complaining, it's not worth the aggravation--I just won't buy from them again.
