I didn't find a thread on this so I figured Id start
one.

In the database various CDs are either labeled "missing
the opening guitar strum" or "contains the opening guitar strum."

There is also another difference in versions that is not
noted in the database. Some versions of this single had reverb added
and others are bone dry.

I went to Youtube and found vinyl dubs in these
variations - some with the guitar strum intro and some without, and
some with reverb added and others dry. BTW, the
reverb is easiest to hear on his opening lyrics just
before the band kicks in.

My question is can anyone here who own this 45 chime in
and let me know which variation they have? I'm wondering if one
version is more common than the others.

Thanks in advance
MM

My 78 contains the opening strum but I'm
not sure about the reverb. My 78 is packed
away but I did make an mp3 of it for the
computer, though it will be probably
Friday before I can get back onto the
computer.

My U.S. commercial 45 has the opening guitar strum and
no reverb that I detect.

Mark, I sent you the dub from my 78. It
appears to be the dry mix.

Did we ever determine/confirm which versions of this single
have reverb added?
