The biggest single release from their Operation: Mindcrime concept album, Queensryche's Eyes Of A Stranger made it to #35 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in 1988.
The single is three short edits:
Delete any intro before the downbeat, so that the file starts with the beat of "1."
Remove 9.1 seconds between 4:20 and 4:29.
Create an 11 second fade to silence, starting at 4:29, to match the 7" single, and delete everything after 4:38.
Wikipedia claims the "Radio Edit" ran 5:15, but that doesn't match the dub I have of the 45 RPM single release. If there was a different edit sent to radio, I'd love to know. I suspect this was just the album version, on the 12".
Discogs, in fact, claims that the 45 ran 4:20... I don't believe that, either. If anyone has a shorter edit, I'd love to hear it.
