This album has been reissued a few times, but Kenny's
solo songs have been omitted since its original release.
(They even added Dolly's "Hard Candy Christmas" from
"The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" soundtrack.) Does
anyone know why? Both Kenny and Dolly were signed to
RCA at the time. So, it should not be a licensing issue
or other label nonsense. When the album was reissued on
vinyl last year, I hoped they would finally address this
especially after Kenny's passing. But, no change....
Appreciate any info - thanks!

I've listened to this album (original CD) during the
holidays for years. One of my faves. I agree it's a real
bummer what they've done with Kenny's songs. I keep hoping
for a remaster with all tracks restored. Oh well, maybe
one day.

Could someone tell me what songs are now missing (and if
any of them made an alternate CD)?
Thanks!
Andy

They also added Dolly's "Hard Candy Christmas" and
changed the order of the songs.

There's a thread in the Steve Hoffman forum about Kenny's
solo songs being omitted from the reissue. It's because
Kenny was unhappy about the way he was treated at RCA (and
made it well known). Their answer was to stop promoting
Kenny's records and decrease his royalty share by removing
these songs from the album.

Interesting read...thanks for the link. Sounds like all
involved could use some Christmas spirit! You would think
enough time has passed that they would move beyond such
nonsense.
