I've noticed there are at least three different stereo mixes of this song!
The original stereo 45:
Strings: center
Electric guitar: right
Bongos: left
Maracas: slightly to the right
On "The Very Best Of Perry Como":
Strings: left
Electric guitar: center, and louder than the other mixes
Bongos: left
Maracas: right
On Time-Life "Lifetime of Romance: Some Enchanted Evening", also on Perry Como's official YouTube channel (digitally remastered in 1988):
Strings: spread across the stereo image
Electric guitar: left, and barely audible
Bongos: right
Maracas: right
Are there any CDs that are faithful to the original 45 mix?

Comparing it with a 45 dub on YouTube, it sounds to my ears
like the 45 mix is on his 3-disc "Yesterday & Today" box
set.

The "Yesterday & Today" set is available on Qobuz.
Ya know, when this song first appeared digitally years ago,
I always thought it didn't sound quite right from what I
remember. Now, I know, thanks to Brian W, I can get a mix
of the song matching the 45.

Billboard Top Soft Rock Hits 1970 also has this
centered mix.
