I have couple of different versions of this on CD. Both run around 4:15-4:16. My question is which is the 45 version? Is it the fade version, or the cold ending with the lyrics "I'll turn the last card down"?

I don't have the 45 in my collection, but it has been my understanding that Arista re-edited the ending and added the fade for the US 45. Here is a "scratchy 45" on Youtube. If the audio
matches the picture they've used, then I'd say here is some tacit confirmation of this theory:

Thanks for the link, that matches the version on my "Just Can't Get Enough: New Wave Hits Of The '80s, Vol. 9" CD. Makes sense since Rhino almost always used the 45 versions on the collection
