Never charted on Billboard to my knowledge anyone know the history behind this song?
My brother (who is now deceased) used to play the vinyl on this constantly. The song is about 9 minutes and 15 seconds long and from what he said back then it was a constant in the clubs. He used to mention the word Spank in reference to this song...
If anyone can give me some background on this one I would appreciate it would mean a lot and honor my brother's memory of the song.
For those who never head it, it sort of reminds me of the song Stomp by the Brothers Johnson which was a year or two before the release of this.....

Can't say much firsthand about its history since it's a little before my time, but it's a great example of the higher-quality disco that was coming out in the post-Disco Demolition Night era, after the U.S. major labels got off the Saturday Night Fever train and more-or-less abandoned the scene.
To explain "Spank", all I can say is that the full title of the song is "(Spank) Sixty Nine". The B-side is another mix of the same song, but titled "Change Position (88)".

The record peaked at #10 on Billboard's Club Play chart in early 1982 (debuted on December 5, 1981), so it got
plenty of spins. Brooklyn Express was actually a studio creation of Yugoslavian(!) producer Began Cekic and they
had a couple of minor Club Play hits in 1980 on Cekic's own label (BC).
