the db states all the 4:52 versions on cd are the "lp version"......but......my cassingle issued as columbia 68746 contains a non-described version and it is identical to the 4:52 full cd/lp version.....is it possible you have the dj/promo version as your point of reference......i also see whitburn has the incorrect run time of 3:49 listed in his books....

My dj 45 states a running time of (3:49) and actually runs (3:47) and is definitely an edit of the LP version. Since Joel Whitburn lists the commercial time as (3:49) I am just relying on his copy of the vinyl 45 really running (3:49) so what we need is for someone that has a commercial copy of the vinyl 45 to step forward with the final word on whether there is a 45 version or not.

Update-- I just logged onto Ebay to see if anyone had the 45 for sale along with a photo of the record and sure enough there is a photo and the running time states (3:49).

Just FYI, the B-side is an instrumental version. As was common in those days, the B-side is not edited.

we need someone to actually time the commercial 45 and NOT go by what it says on the 45's label, as wee know that is wrong often....
