pat

the db states that the only cd version is the "lp version"....but.....the cassingle issued as a&m 7200 contains the "m&m hot 7 inch" (4:30) mix......funny thing is.....even though the cassingle states that, the version on it is identical to the full cd/lp evrsion running 4:40...so the entry in the db should NOT qualify the version.....also this info should be added to the db....

Thanks for the heads up, Ed. Glad to know I don't have to worry about seeking out a 45 version now! So am I understanding correctly then that your cassingle copy incorrectly states the run time to be 4:30?

Speaking of "Sayin' Sorry (Don't Make It Right)", it looks like vinyl 12" copies contain a "Radio Edit". Can anyone verify if this edit appears on a DJ promo single release and what is it's run time?

Hold on Todd, you should keep looking for the vinyl 45 of "Sayin' Sorry..." as the vinyl 45 is different than the cassette single. The vinyl 45 does contain the M&M 7" hot mix and it runs (4:28) not (4:30) as stated on the record label. Being from 1988, the official Billboard single version would be the vinyl 45 and not the cassette single.

My vinyl 45 is a commercial copy and is a different mix and edit of the LP version.

As the run time information of the commercial 45
DENISE LOPEZ - "Sayin' Sorry (Don't Make it Right)"

The actual commercial 45 running time is (4:26), the listed time is "4:30" on the record label. (Vendetta VV-7200)

my commercial vinyl 45 issued as vendetta 7200 states a run time on the label as 4:30 but actually runs 4:28....odd as i may be, my commercial cassingle issued with the same catalog number, vendetta 7200, states a run time on the cassingle sleeve as 4:30 but actually runs 4:40 and is identaical to the version from the below cd

(S) (4:40) A&M 5226 Truth In Disguise (LP version)

both the vinyl 45 and the cassingle state (m&m hot 7") on the labels....

Anyone know the difference between the 45 promo and the LP version?

The M&M Hot 7'' Mix does not appear to be available on CD. If anyone has it or knows where to find it, much appreciated. There is no US or overseas CD promo for it.

I have both the commercial and promo 12" records. The
only difference between the The M&M Hot 7" version that
clock in at 4:41 and 4:28 is an edit around the 2:58
til 3:11 mark that edits out the part where she sings
"Take your sorry and baby this is the plan.
You can take that sorry baby and stick it UUOOOOOH"
That accounts for the 13 second or so difference.
