Has anyone ever located a legitimate, digitally-sourced version for this? I have looked high and low for years for a CD appearance anywhere, but no luck. I dubbed my original 1985 12" single years ago to a CD-R, to play on-air, but have always hoped to find the "real thing" on CD. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Lucky you. It couldn't be any easier and cheaper to find. It's on A Rock 'n' Roll Christmas 2, released by Polygram special markets. 6.98 on amazon.
Now, the REAL challenge is trying to find the flip side, Reggae Christmas, on CD! Still waiting for that one.

Thanks a million for the assistance, Budaniel. Those "Special Products" things usually turn up in those massive CD bargain bins, which I don't go through nearly as much as I used to. If "Reggae Christmas" doesn't turn up for you on CD, I can always consider getting my mint 12" single of it de-popped and clicked (if any exist) for you, sir. Might be the best you'll do on it. Let me know, and thanks again for the help.

no prob. Thanks for the offer. I have the 12" single as well, and have it
recorded on CD already. I just long for the day when I actually have it on
CD and can get rid of the 12" all together.
Another christmas challenge for me has been trying to find ONE instance
of "Jingle Bell Rock" by Hall & Oates being included on a CD and NOT
forgetting to leave out the final drum hit at the end of the song. It's as if
the people mastering the song don't REALIZE that there's another drum
part after the song sounds like it ends (sort of like "I Want Candy" by bow
wow wow). Even a Hall & Oates 12" singles collection import I have does
not include it!

For those who are interested, "Raggae Christmas" is now on CD in Canada. It's on a compliation called "A Canadian Christmas 3".

Yeah, you never know what you're going to find on those, Jim. In the early 1990s, I found Bobby Helms' "Captain Santa Claus," the flip of "Jingle Bell Rock," on a budget MCA Christmas comp. As far as I know, the only other place it's been issued on CD is on the Bear Family Bobby Helms box, which came out over a decade later.
I sure wish I could find my long sought after "Christmas Candy" by Margaret Whiting and Jimmy Wakely. It is out on CD in the UK from Jasmine, but it's a needle drop. I want a tape source -- I already had a good custom needle drop done.
And who'd have ever dreamed I'd find Elton John's "Snow Queen" on a British Reader's Digest Christmas comp?
