According to the database, the Aerosmith CDs: Young Lust: The Aerosmith Anthology (Geffen 069493119) and Gold (Geffen B0002936) both contain a 5:34 version of "Amazing" with the comment: (orchestral version). I understand this is the version specifically stated on the packaging/liner notes of these discs. However, there are two orchestral versions of "Amazing" documented in the database that have appeared on a promo DJ CD single, but neither run 5:34. The two orchestral versions run 4:11 and 5:55.
Jim, do you (or anybody else) have a 5:34 orchestral version of "Amazing" on a different promotional CD single?

It does not appear so, Todd. I have 2 "Amazing" promo CD singles:
PRO-CD-4564
1-LP Version (listed 5:56; actual 5:55)
2-Edit (listed and actual 4:38)
PRO-CD-4565
1-CHR Edit (listed 4:12; actual 4:11)
2-Orchestral/Edit (listed 4:12; actual 4:11)
3-Orchestral (listed and actual 5:56)
4-LP Version (listed 5:56; actual 5:55)
Man, Aerosmith's got me workin' like a dog today!

LOL Thanks again, Jim! Actually, I hadn't realized there is also a 4:38 edit of "Amazing" floating around out there. Boy, Geffen sure went crazy issuing a multitude of radio versions for their artists' hits back in the early to mid-'90s!

TM Century includes this 4:38 version on their CHR disc. I have my station play the CHR edit which I think is much better and shorter!

Pat:
I see you've updated the database to show CDs containing the 5:34 orchestral version of "Amazing" with the comment: (one of 3 different orchestral versions). Not to sound nitpicky because I do appreciate how you incorporate many of our suggestions on how to best phrase comments for the database, but I was wondering if you think the following comment might be a little more specific for CDs containing the 5:34 orchestral version of "Amazing":
(this is an orchestral version, but is a different edit than the orchestral versions appearing on DJ CD single copies)
The final decision of course is yours, Pat.
