ok...i completed as much of 1984's top 40's as i could with help from aaron, jim, paul and brian, (thanks guys) and now i begin my review of all 224 songs that graced the billboard top 40 charts from the year 1983....first random note is below
pat...
the 45 by kenny loggins states a run time of 3:55 and indeed runs that length and it just an edit of the full 5:20 cd/lp version.....this should be noted in the db...

Ed, I know a lot of us really appreciate the "fine tooth comb" you use to check each song from each year, looking for the exact details; can't wait to see what you turn up for '83!

Maybe it's me--but I found it very difficult to replicate the single version.

I made an exact single edit from the LP version with no problem. Which part gave you trouble?

The edit during the saxophone break gave me the most trouble. For whatever reason I just couldn't get it to segue smoothly.
This may have been one of my earlier efforts, though--before I got a little more savvy with WavePad.

Sorry to dig this one from the dead. I don't have times on me, but the exact pick up point for that final edit, would be on "Darlin'..." with the repeated snare. I think it's at 2:49.
