I was just attempting to edit this from the BMG Special Products 44975 Dynamite, but I'm not sure it can be done. The instrumental bridge that begins around what should be the first edit point (approx 2:59) doesn't seem to match between the LP version and the 45 version. Has anyone else tried to edit this? I just wanted to check before I go out and invest in the Real 80s R&B box set.
Thanks,
Mike

I tried as well, but there was there was some stuff in the instrumental section that was unique to the 45. I wonder if the 45 may be an edit of the 12" version?

For those of you who have the Real 80's R&B box set, which can be found quite cheaply despite having three discs, the "45 version but slower" is not too much slower than the vinyl. If you pitch up the CD to +0.34%, you'll have the right speed.
Also, you'll have to delete the last 5.4 seconds and re-fade the ending. The version on this CD runs a little longer than the actual 45, but it does have the unique parts that are not on the LP version. The actual 45 run time is (4:07), although the database says (4:09).

Nice find! Can the 45 be created from the 12" remix?

I just discovered that all I have is a needle-drop of the original 45. Did anyone ever successfully create a digital 45 version of this one?

The 45 version is finally on a US CD (the recent Playlist release included it).

Thanks for that info, Santi. Currently, I only have 'Dynamite' on an Australian compilation CD and it's edited in such a way that it does not match my 45. I'll have to pick up a cheap copy of 'Playlist' instead.
