My commercial 45, which is stereo, has a listed time of (3:55), but an actual time of (3:52).

Ed, the original Blue Thumb 45 version of "Yes We Can Can" has the stereo channels reversed when compared to the LP version. I think I also have a later MCA "sky, clouds and rainbow" label 45 pressing with the stereo channels corrected.

Which version is actually the "true" 45 version is probably a matter of opinion.

but the mca label version never made the billboard top
40....so i would still consider the blue thumb vinyl 45 the
proper single top 40 version.....but disagree we can...

Bad news for those who have been using the Can You Dig It box as their source for the 45 version. This is a very close but incorrect attempt at re-creating the 45 edit. The version on Those Funky '70s seems to be the correct 45 edit.

I have the correct 45 edit. Unfortunately, it is an mp3.

For what it's worth, the 4:14 version on Time-Life's Sounds Of The Seventies Vol. 14 1973 Take Two (1991; 45 version but :22 longer) runs 1.47% slower than the 3:51 version on Razor & Tie's Those Funky 70's (1990; 45 version).

Not sure what the proper 45 speed actually is.

The little scratchy guitar at 6 seconds in is in the left channel for both discs.
