the db states that the commercial 45 actually runs 3:39 and that the label inaccurately states a run time of 3:45....both of these statements are correct, but, the entries for the "45 length" versions are all 3:45.....i know i may be nit-picking here but 6 seconds differential is meaningful......the 45 version is just an early fade of the full 4:07 lp version......so, shouldn't the entries for "45 length" be amended to say something like....."45 version is just an early fade of the 4:07 lp version and all 3:45 versions are faded 0:06 too late compared to the correct 3:39 45 fade".......just a thought.......anyone else??

On CDs where the "The Logical Song" runs 3:46, Pat has been known to type up a comment like: (:07 longer than the 45 length). However, I've been noticing that whenever the database contains a general comment for a song like: (actual 45 time is (3:39) not (3:45) as stated on the record label), as is the case here for "The Logical Song", he seems less inclined lately to add additional comments next to individual CDs where the run time is significantly longer or shorter than the 45 or LP. I don't want to speak for Pat, but I'm guessing he figures we can just make the conclusion on our own that the 3:46 appearances of "The Logical Song" on CD to date run :07 longer than the 45 without needing to type the comment next to each disc. But like you, Ed, I prefer having a comment next to each CD explaining this :07 difference because one never knows... the time discrepency could be based on a number of reasons, such as speed, length, a slight edit, or even a combination of these!
