Is the Promo CD single the only place to find a 'clean' version of this song? Is the promo worth locating? How would those of you familiar with the promo describe the edits?
I did see a copy of the promo CD single on eBay for $90.00. Quite a collector's item I'd say!

What any CD is worth is totally up to the collector. Personally, I wouldn't pay $90.00 for a NIN single, but then again, I already own it :)
Not only is the song shorter, but the "f" word has been muted from the mix, leaving only the instrumental track. As far as the edit goes, they've essentially cut down the instrumental sections (i.e. intro is shorter, ending music, etc.).

I can remember going crazy to find this single back in 1994. I was at a CD show and had them make an announcement over the PA for me with no luck. I fianlly found it somewhere...probably Goldmine. I think I paid about $20 for it which was alot for a promo back in 1994. Still, I'm glad I picked it up since it's now a collector's item. If anyone has any other promos from that era by NIN and wants to trade files let me know.

The "clean" edit also appears on an "Album Network Tune-Up" promo compilation I have. I forget which one, but if someone really wants to know, I'll dig it up.
