This might have been covered previously, (if so-sorry) but the version of this song that is on the "Anthology/History Of" CD is nowhere close to the 45 version. Anybody know (1) what version is on the CD and (2) where the 45 version might be found?

I have the original 45, and it is the same as the LP version.

I just timed my commercial 45, and it has both a listed and actual time of (3:47). Most of the CDs in the database run between (3:45) and (3:48). But the originally released LP/CD it was on, "I'm In You" and the "Anthology/History Of" CD that Robert refers to above are the ONLY two CDs that clock in with a time of (3:51). So, there appears to still be :04 seconds unaccounted for, if Grant's "the original 45 is the same as the LP version" comment is indeed correct.

Wasn't the I'm In You LP version preceded by the song "I'm A Road Runner" (which segued directly into "Signed Sealed Delivered")?

The original 45 is not quite the same as the original lp version; the 45 is not segued from the previous cut and contains a less-than-one-second extra intro which can't be recreated from the album.

Yes, the vinyl LP is the same, except for the segue. The 45 intro is clean. Does anyone have the CD version of the album and could check and see if it contains the same segued version as the vinyl LP? Either way, the Anthology version sounds like an entirely different cut. Is it an alternate version? And does the correct version appear on CD anywhere?

Peter Frampton "Greatest Hits" has the 45 version.

Thanks, Andrew, you're a good man! I, on the other hand, recently upgraded to "Anthology." Not bright.

Andy are you implying that the other cd's other than "Greatest Hits" listed in the database that run from (3:45) to (3:48) are not the 45 version? I tracked the version on "Greatest Hits" with "20th Century Masters" and the intro sounds the same to me.

Hi Pat,
Thanks for allowing me to clarify if I've created any confusion...
The only CD I own with "Signed, Sealed..." is 'Greatest Hits'.
I do own the commercial 45.
I did not mean to intimate that I have any knowledge of any other CDs with the track; I was just letting Robert know where I know it definitively is.
