Can someone tell me the difference between the 45 and LP versions? Someone stated in a post on another topic that he/she thought they were different takes. Thanks, in advance, for the info.

satchdr:

According to Pat's database, the 45 version is readily available on many CD's, including Anthology.

The LP version is only available on a couple of CD's.

"It Don't Matter To Me" was originally on Bread's first self-titled album. It was not one of the singles extracted from the album (anyway, no hits were produced).

When "Make It With You" (from their 2nd LP 'On The Waters') became a smash, "It Don't Matter To Me" was completely rerecorded with a different arrangement & prominant drum fills and released as their 2nd HIT single.

The 45 was mono, the public first heard the stereo mix on 'The Best Of Bread' LP a couple of years later.
