Pat:
At the moment, there's only one CD entry listed for Joe Stampley's "Soul Song" in the database. I thought I'd bring to your attention that the song also appears on the various artist CD The Class of Country 1970-1974 (Hip-O 40085). The track clocks in at 2:28 and is in stereo. The Class of Country disc does show up when performing a database search for the seven other Top 40 hits on the CD, so "Soul Song" somehow got overlooked. An interesting thing to note on the back tray insert of my CD copy is Joe Stampley's name is mis-spelled as "Joe Sampley".
Also, a quick glance at the Amazon retail website reveals what appears to be another CD appearance of "Soul Song" on a Joe Stampley compilation called Good Ole Boy: His Greatest Hits released on the Razor & Tie label in 1995. This disc is currently not accounted for in the Top 40 Music on Compact Disc database.

Another entry currently omitted where this song appears is (disc 2, track 2):
Time-Life R808-19 Classic Country – The ‘70s: Treasures
Also, this disc includes Jerry Lee Lewis' version of "Me and Bobby McGee" which of course is not in the database (however still a #40 charter on BB).[
