Cry Me A River by Justin Timberlake is showing up on cd in two lengths, (4:47) from the cd "Justified" by Justin Timberlake and (4:28) on the cd "2004 Grammy Nominees". The (4:28) version is simply the (4:47) cd version faded :19 early. Is (4:28) the commercial single time or did they just fade this song early to make it fit on the various artist compilation cd?

Do you mean the commercial vinyl single, Paul? Because there was no commercial CD single released in the US.

I have the US commercial CD maxi-single released on Jive 40073. The lead-off track is 4:48 and is designated (album version). There are 3 more versions of that song and two versions of "Like I Love You" on this single.

Okay guys, bringing back this top almost 15 years later...I have a 4:13 edit but have no idea off what CD it came off of. It matches the hit version of 4:48 and fades quickly from 4:08 to 4:13. Anyone have any idea if this is possibly a UK or other country edit?

On my copy track 8 ("Cry Me A River") runs 4:28 and it
is an early fade. Wonder if this disc was pressed twice.
I probably purchased my copy as soon as the CD was
released.
