Although not in the database, this song peaked at #38 in Billboard in 11/78. FYI, my commercial 45 has a listed time of (3:47) and an actual time of (3:48). This song appears on CD, with a length :05 longer than the 45's length, at (3:53), on Motown's 2-CD "Anthology Series: The Best Of The Commodores." My older Motown, released-originally-in-the-80s-on-LP, 2-CD "Anthology" is currently misfiled; perhaps someone else can see if a closer match for this song on CD may appear on there.

Printed and actual time for "Flying High" on the now out-of-print 2001 Motown 2-CD "Anthology" is (5:10); however, this doesn't appear to be either of the collections you're describing. I guess that makes at least three 2-CD "Anthologies" for the Commodores over the years, lol...

The song runs (3:53) on my 3-CD Commodores set called 36 All-Time Greatest Hits (Universal/GSC Music 15484). There's definitely not a shortage of multi-disc Commodores sets!
