My commercial 45 has a listed time of (4:40) and an actual time of (4:42). I only post this info because the 10 current database CDs that feature this song have run times ranging from (4:36) to (4:41).

my commercial 45 issued as big tree 16131 states a run time on the label as 4:40 and does indeed run that length and is identical to the version form the cd below
(S) (4:40) Rhino 72568 Very Best Of

If Jim's is in fact different, I would also be curious as to whether the two records came from different pressing plants. Based on the label scan, Ed's 45 appears to have been pressed by PRC of Richmond, IN, which did some pressing work for Atlantic in the mid/late '70s (note the "RI" after the master number -- although the "RI" strangely looks like it's in a different typeface from everything else on the label).
