The version of "Under The Bridge" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers that appears on their Greatest Hits cd runs about :09 longer than the album version from the cd Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik. Was this longer ending on a promo cd single or is this a first time appearance of the extended ending?

Well, my old German CD single from 1992 is the LP length... that's about all the help I am on this one, I'm afraid.

Although I don't own any of the import singles, I've seen one (not sure which country) that has a printed run time of (4:34), which is one second longer than what we have on Greatest Hits. I'd say we're getting the full-length song on Greatest Hits, because on Blood Sugar Sex Magik, it segues into the next track. What to label this version will have to be your call, Pat.
