I'm wondering if the Tymes CD will include the intros for So Much in Love and Wonderful Wonderful that are on my original vinyl LP but omitted from the Parkway box. It would also be nice to see John Zacherle's Dinner with Drac complete on a CD, which I only have with the complete intro on an old Ronco record!

I bought three of the new CDs today at Tower -- Chubby, Bobby, and Dee Dee. From just a cursory listen in my car:

1. Mostly mono.

2. They have fixed the opening of "Swingin' School," which was clipped on the previously released VA box set.

3. "Slow Twistin'" on the Chubby Checker CD now appears to be the correct single version. The version on the box set omitted the sax break in favor of an extra verse. It seems to me the sax break is a bit short, but I might be remembering wrong -- I'll have to A/B it with my bootleg when I get home.

4. "Slow Twistin'" on the Dee Dee CD is her version that was featured on her album, not the single version -- a totally different recording with her on lead vocal.

I read on another bulletin board that "So in Love" is the long version with intro (the 45 version without the intro was on the box set).

No 45 length for "96 Tears," though... both the box set and the ? and the Mysterians CD have the full-length LP version... But I think the 45 version was just an early fade of the LP version.

And Slow Twistin' is the correct 45 version... at least, it matches my old Chubby Checker bootleg.
