Since all CD appearances of this song in the database run :04-:05 longer, I suspect we may be dealing with a 45/LP length difference here. Does anyone have the Police's Synchronicity vinyl LP from 1984 on A&M who can pass along the run time of "Wrapped Around Your Finger" on it?

Is this song an early fade too or does the 45 have a different mix to it?

No mix differences that I'm aware of.

Revisiting this one myself since I realized all I had was
the LP length. Is it possible, besides the early fade,
that the 45 was pitched up slightly?

Bumping this up as I don't see an answer to the question of whether or not the 7" single is just an early fade, sped up, both, or edited.

Anyone have the 7" single to compare?

Is the promo sent to radio the same as the commercial single?

It's an early fade.
