This in from abagon... The actual commercial 45 run time of Pat Benatar's "We Belong" is 3:37, not 3:40 as stated on the record label.

Curiously, is the single version of this available on CD? Every CD I've ever seen (including TM GoldDiscs) has the album version which doesn't have the cold intro.

I believe the 45 version appears on several CD's.

The two disc set "All Fired Up" The Very Best of Pat Benatar includes the 45 version.
I'm not sure about the most recent greatest hits package that EMI released a few years ago. I believe its a single disc. You may not want all the filler that's on the double disc.
I found a promo copy of the 45 recently when we were checking out some old vinyl in a closet here at work.
It was packaged in a vinyl clear sleeve.
There are quite a few 45 versions on that two disc set.
But no 45 version of "Hit Me With Your Best Shot."
Funny, I found that one on a old K-Tel album recently.

I picked up the UK version of Best Shots for the 45 version of "Hit Me With Your Best Shot."

I'll bet that K-Tel album was "Rock '81", right?

I'll make a sidebet that it was "Full Tilt"?
As for "We Belong," can anyone describe the cold opening of the stock 45? I think my copy has a half-beat of synth before the background "We belong" vocals come in, and a few bars before the verse starts. Is this the "cold" beginning you've mentioned?

"We Belong" is available on the Deadpool 2
soundtrack. According to Allmusic, it is the single
version, but the version of the Deadpool 2
available in Spotify is the LP version. Can anyone
clarify this?

As I recall the difference in the intro between the 45 and
LP versions is that the LP has the instrumental intro for
about 8 seconds with no vocals. The 45 has the same 8
second intro but she sings over it "we belong, we belong
to the light" as in the official video:

The single mix of "We Belong" is on the CEMA Special
Products Best of Blondie & Pat Benatar budget collection
in quite good sound quality.
