The database lists both available versions from full-length CDs as being
4:09 in length, but my CD single (So So Def 38K 79016) lists the first track
as being the "LP version, 4:14 in length (it actually times out to 4:12). Is this
a speed problem, or do we have another single version that's slightly longer
than the LP versions?

Ed reports that his commercial CD single copy of INOJ's "Time After Time" has an actual and printed run time of 4:14. (For what it's worth, this exactly matches the song's run time on my Promo Only Mainstream Radio DJ CD subscription series.) As Paul pointed out in the previous post, all database CDs containing the song run 4:09-4:10.
Also, according to my research, "Time After Time" appeared on an INOJ CD released in 1999 called Ready for the World (So So Def 69663) which is presently not listed in the database. Would this be considered the parent CD/LP (which also contains INOJ's other Top 40 single "Love You Down")?

The parent LP, if I'm not mistaken, is a compilation maybe So So Def Bass All Stars--can't remember off the top of my head) that has the track segueing into another song, I think, instead of the ending drum echoing. |

The parent album is So So Def Bass All-Stars Vol. III, a various artists compilation from 1998.

You're right, Pat. I was thinking her previous hit "Love You Down". I edited my previous post accordingly.

Paul & Todd, I was also thinking of "Love You Down." Ha! I deleted my post to clear up confusion. The song "Time After Time" has a faded out ending.
