Pat, I recently loaded the "Clouds In My Coffee" box set version of this song into my Ipod, and it just played. I know this song well, and have already done thorough research for both the stock & promo 45s. But the version I heard this morning, for around the last :20-:30 seconds before the instrumental ending kicks in, is not the same as my 45 is. Everything else sounds the same to me. To my ears, there is an obviously different take/mix at that point, which I'm sure will jump out to you, too, if you focus only on that part. Maybe there will also have to be a re-examination of whether or not this box set version may be the original LP version or not - length may not be the only difference between the 45 and LP versions of this song. Thanks, Pat (or anyone else who wants to give it a listen!)

Does the version you refer to have an extra line to the effect of "oooh the pain is over"? If so, it sounds like what was on the "Hotcakes" album. Dunno if that album ever made it to CD, but most GH collections she put out had the single version.
Not like I'm about to shell out $$ for a box set by an artist I pretty much already have anything I'm interested in, but it's nice to know this version is available.

Jim, there are indeed differences between the 45 and LP as you pointed out so I have updated the database to reflect the proper designations.

Thanks for the update, Jim and Pat. Luckily, the 45 version is easily able to be purchased if one didn't already have it. I have it on the Best Of.

Looks like there is indeed a mono promo 45 labeled short version that runs 3:25. Check out AnotherProf's post:
