my commercial 45 issued as chrysalis 42996 states a run time on the label as 4:02 but actually runs 4:00....and is identical to the cd version listed below
(S) (4:00) EMI 27674 Living In Oblivion: The 80's Greatest Hits Volume Three (45 version)

Good work for the current run time info, edtop40! Almost the commercial 45s' running times which I have are the same as edtop40s' current posts. However only this song differs. My stock 45's actual running time is (4:03), the listed time is "4:02" on the record label. (Chrysalis VS4 42996) It seems that there are different pressings.

okay....i reviewed this track again versus the version from the cd below
(S) (4:00) EMI 27674 Living In Oblivion: The 80's Greatest Hits Volume Three (45 version)
and the cd version fades out about 0:02 earlier than the vinyl 45.....can the end of the full length 5:07 cd version be tacked on to the end of the "oblivion" cd to get the proper running 45 length??
thanks abagon for bringing this one to my attention....

Thank you for the review, edtop40.
It is possible to make the 45 version from the vinyl LP version. Although I don't have the "oblivion" CD. We can probably make the 45 version adding a part of the full length CD version. it seems that "oblivion" CD is deficient in the part from 4:10 to 4:13 on the LP.
"How to make the 45 version from the LP"
Reduce the intro of only the keyboard and drums (about 18 seconds) to half. Delete from 4:13 (after the drums beat) till the end on the LP. Fade out from 3:45 on the 45.
