My promo 45 has the listed (3:35), actual (3:33) "Short Version" on one side, and the listed and actual (5:10) "Long Version" on the other. As far as I know, still no 45v on CD.

Pat, during tonight's research, I just discovered that this info had never been posted to the database.

To add to Jim's promo 45 comments which have since been entered into the database, the commercial 45 also has an actual run time of 3:33, not 3:35 as stated on the record label.

Interesting that Rhino's Just Can't Get Enough Vol. 15 used the LP version.

The edit is really easy for this one.

Using the timings from Just Can't Get Enough Vol. 15 (which runs about 5:14 and 155.8 BPM throughout):

Keep 0:00.0 to 1:59.6 of the LP version.
Edit on the loud percussive sound. (Not the most helpful, I realize, but it's tough to count beats in this section of the song.)
Remove the 256 beats from 1:59.6 to 3:38.2 of the LP version.
Keep 3:38.2 to 5:18.1 (end) of the LP version.

Your mixdown will run 3:39.5 with the intro/outro silence, about 3:36 without the outro silence. There will be one edit at 1:59.6. If you want to get down to the true 45 length, you can shorten the fade-in by about 3 seconds.
