I just noticed the "Memberlist" feature of this board, and that you can actually list members in order of the # of posts they've made. Interestingly, as of now, there are 459 members who have registered at this website but only 132 who have actually posted at least 1 post. The top 2 posters are running neck and neck with each other:

Todd Ireland (2480 posts)
JimCT (2457)

Following them (in order) are:

Aaron K
EdTop40
Eriejwg
Brian W

I actually made the top 10, too - in 8th place (just behind "Pat Downey" -- although Pat also posted under "Moderator" and if you combine the "Pat Downey" posts and "Moderator" posts, that bumps Pat up a couple notches from 7th to 5th place. (Geesh, I sound a bit like Casey Kasem!)

Anyway, a big thanks to everyone including those who have only posted one time, because without this community and all its posters, we'd still be in the dark ages trying to find a lot of songs (and versions) on CD!

Dang, I'll never catch up to Todd if I keep replying to his e-mails asking me for 45 timings, and then HE goes and posts them all!!!!! (Only kidding, Todd...you are an extremely deserving #1!!!!!!!!) And Gordon, thanks for taking the time to notice the hard work being put in. I'm proud to be in the company of such other, major "Downey Board Workhorses" like you, Pat himself of course, AaronK, EdTop40, Brian W., John (eriejwg) and the 50 other "real regulars" here, who know their stuff backwards, forwards and sideways, and are always willing to chime in with helpful tidbits whenever they get the time. And the posts just keep on comin'....back to you, Casey!

Well, Grant and "The Hits Man" are both Grant, so he's actually #12 on the list, just ahead of Paul Haney.

I'm going to make 1500 posts that say, "All work and no play makes Brian a dull boy," just so I can be number one.

Egad! You've blown my cover! Now I'm going to have to find some other unsuspecting music expert to outsource my run time information in order to keep my post count high!

You forgot to mention that you're reporting this information because database post count tallies range anywhere from 2,440 to 2,490 posts.

So I did! Guess I'll have to make another post to correct that oversight. :)

I certainly am glad I found this site, after Tom Daly mentioned it on his site. And, I discovered the BSN forum from people mentioning it here. AND, not done, found the Steve Hoffman site from mentions here and at BSN.

Gawd, I need a life, lol.

I used to have the highest number of posts over at the BSN site and then i left that site for the better part of a year because there were complaints that my posts were not contributing anything to the board. Nobody noticed as i silently returned to posting in the new year....yet my post count had dropped from #1, i still remained in the top 5 after the absence. However even with my return there I still feel as if people see me as not contributing enough there (in spite of some other posters who do nothing but post comments that don't contribute to anything), so at this site, I tend to try to just post comments that are beneficial to somebody. I may not have the greatest record collection in the world but as a young collector, i find i'm still able to unearth some discs other people never knew even existed (such as the "alternate" mix of The Rapper by the Jaggerz and the string-less 45 of Mountain Of Love by Harold Dorman). So I only post .25 posts per day, or one every 4 days or so, but at least when I do post here, most of the time it ends up helping somebody out.
