The stock mono single of "Get It On" By Chase mixes out a building guitar during the long held note near the end of the song. That would mean that all issues on CD so far are the LP version.

I can confirm Bill's findings. I have known about that missing guitar for some time now, thanks to an old friend who alerted me to this fact in the first place. Some years ago, he asked me to supply him with a mint 1971 45, so he could splice on the correct 45 version ending. And although I wouldn't say that it 100% meets the high 2009 audio standards found here on the Board, still it ain't too shabby. I apologize for not alerting the folks here on the Board about this fact long ago - just so much musica!!!!!! And thanks, Bill, for noticing!

I can add that the 45 has another difference from the LP
version. The vocal from :28 - 1:00 is a different take
take in the LP version. The only way I found you can tell
without synchronizing them is at :32 in the word "I".
In the 45, he sort of screams a long "I" immediately after
he sings the word "bright". But in the LP mix right after
"bright" he takes a breath and screams a shorter "I".
The rest of the song is the same vocal take.
