Jim reports his commercial 45 copy of Andrea True Connection's "More, More, More (Pt. 1)" has an actual and printed run time of 3:02. I'm passing this along because the song's database CD entries containing a "45 version" comment range from 2:57-3:10.

LP version
The LP version runs 6:15, and turns up on a few CDs that I don't have...
45 version
...but all we care about is the 45 version, which runs 3:02 on vinyl.
The oldest CD I have with the 45 version is Silver Eagle/Warner Special Products' 2-CD Dancin' The Night Away (1988), where it's from a high-generation tape source and sounds like mud. The same analog transfer is used for Priority's Mega-Hits Dance Classics Vol. 1 (1989). Avoid these two.
Bill Inglot did a great new analog transfer for Rhino's Disco Years Vol. 1 (1990), which sounds immeasurably better than the Silver Eagle and Priority CDs. The following CDs use the same analog transfer as Disco Years Vol. 1:- Razor & Tie's 2-CD Disco Fever (1991; absolute polarity inverted, which doesn't affect sound quality)
- Rhino's Billboard Top Dance Hits 1976 (1992; digitally identical)
- Rhino's cheapie Disco Hits Vol. 1 (1992; digitally exactly 0.239 dB quieter)
- Warner Special Products' 2-CD Disco Collection (1993)
- Time-Life's Sounds Of The Seventies Vol. 38 Celebration (1994; mastered too loud and clips a bit - avoid)
- Sony's Collector's Edition Disco (1995; differently-EQ'd digital clone of Razor & Tie's Disco Fever)
- Time-Life's Sounds Of The Seventies Vol. 44 '70s Dance Party 1975-1976 (1997; differently-EQ'd digital clone)
- Rhino's Millennium New Disco Party (2000; digitally exactly 0.462 dB louder)
I have a hunch that the UK 45 runs about 10 seconds longer than the US 45, because I have a version running about 3:13 on Disky UK's 10-CD Beat Goes On Vol. 7 (1997) and Connoisseur Collection UK's 5-CD 100 Dance Hits Of The '70s (1988). Can't confirm with UK vinyl, though.
My recommendation for the (US) 45 version: Rhino's Disco Years Vol. 1 (1990).

Couldn't find any decent videos on YouTube of the 45
playing, but I think all of the 3:00 versions of
the song in the database actually run 1% faster than the
45.
Can anyone verify? Calling Mark Matthews.

Agree with crapfromthepast that Rhino's Disco Years,
Volume 1 is the best digital source for this classic. This
CD sounds like it is sourced from lower generation tape
sources than the other options, and tastefully mastered.
